I started running workshops over 10 years ago when I lived in Edinburgh.

I love teaching hand sewing skills and in 2019 I set up a series of workshops at the Glentrool Gallery and Craft Shop to do just that. The students had a go at Embroidery, Sashiko, Applique, Block Printing on fabric to finally design their own Textile Picture.

The Glentrool Hive has now been fully refurbished and is a wonderful space to teach and create. I have designed the following workshops to use different fabrics that we all have in our stash. I call this the Art of Recycling Textiles and follows the ethos of using what you have.

Saturday 18 March, 1 - 4pm: Denim - Creating Landscapes

Saturday 15 April, 1 - 4pm: Tweed - Making Quirky 3D Owls

Saturday 20 May, 1 - 4pm: Silk - Kantha Design and Embroidery

Saturday 17 June, 1 - 4pm: Linen - Boro design and Stitching

Cost - £40 per person for 3 hours, Includes tuition and all materials needed for the workshop, plus tea, coffee and biscuits.
